Essential Functions

Prepare foods for tray line

 

Perform tray line activities

 

Perform nourishment preparation

 

Service residents in dining room

 

Set up meal trays

 

Set up food carts

 

Set up dining room

 

Distribute and collect menus

 

Check diet trays before distribution

 

Deliver food carts/trays to designated area

 

Obtain/stage utensils for next meal

 

Ensure meals served are appetizing in appearance

 

Ensure meals served conform to portion control standards

 

Prepare and deliver snacks

 

Maintain food storage area

 

Prepare beverages

 

Serve trays

 

Cover and label food

 

Prepare food to meet menus

 

Recognize and respond to dietary emergencies

 

Set up food services production line

 

Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerator/freezer

 

Sweep/dust floors

 

Keep work area clean and organized

 

Clean equipment

 

Clean floors

 

Maintain/use chemicals safely

 

Mop floors

 

Report hazardous conditions/equipment to supervisor

 

Report spills

 

Report defective equipment to supervisor

 

Report defective lights/bulbs to supervisor
